Day trip-Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania's Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the dry season thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.
It covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles.) The landscape is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, and swamps. Vegetation is a mix of Acacia woodland, Combretum woodland, seasonally flooded grassland, and baobab trees.

Tarangire National Park
Picked up in the morning in Arusha/ Moshi and drive in comfort to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunches. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The birdlife in Tarangire is outstanding, sitting directly underneath a flyby between southern Africa and Europe, capturing migrants from both hemispheres. Leopards are particularly abundant here, as giraffe. But above all are the large numbers of elephant families that concentrate in the park during the dry season in search of precious water in the Tarangire River. This area is very good for herbivores (plant eaters) and you stand a good chance to see Giraffe, Impala, Dik dik and many more. From here we will be heading towards the gate on our way to Arusha and definitely to your hotel.
